So I bought tickets to come home this new years. $209 to fly into the Springs. We fly in the 31st at about 11 am and leave at 4 on the 7th. So... no suprises this year. We are both looking forward to it a bunch. Can't believe it'll have been a year since seeing everyone but M&D.
Like Em said, we're getting back into a routine now that the excitement of summer is over with. Getting cooler, but we're still having low sixties regularly and sporatic drizzles. My work is getting a little shook up with by bosses disolving their partnership and the two friends who got me the job are quiting to pursue their own lisences. Rick (boss) still wants to keep me on once he gets rolling with the newly structured business. But winter is a slow time anyway, so I might have to find some part-time fill in stuff for a couple months.
Tomorrow starts rehearsals for the next show for the Playhouse. I'm doing lights again (with real theatre lighting!!!!) and maybe filling it a bit as assistant stage manager. It will be an interesting show to say the least. And a new challenge for sure to have to figure out how to design with some real options available instead of my old point-and-shoot and hope everyone's face is lit method.
Em only has 4 more shifts of night schedule left after a whole year of waiting!! (fingers crossed) She doesn't want to jinx it, since it's been pushed back a couple times already, but it seems pretty in the bag. That will be nice to finally have that normalcy back.
That's the news from Lake Portlagone.
Where all the Women are hipsters.
All the Men are ungroomed.
And all the Children are weird beyond average.
Who's the goof in the background? I've always thought it would be fun to go around one day at a touristy spot and see how many group pictures you can get in.
