Cold, Christmas and New Years

We are "enjoying" some good cold weather - below zero at night and in the teens during the day. But tomorrow will warm up - should get up almost to freezing.

We are getting geared up for Beth-El's annual Christmas programs on Sunday -- choir in the morning and children/youth program in the evening. Looking forward to that.

Last night we hosted the Elders/Council for a Christmas supper. We decorated & set up our anniversary lamps and all sorts of candles. Created a nice relaxing atmosphere. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Hadn't done that for a long time, so was good to do again. It was the last meeting for three of the people on the Council - Bob Harnish, Dave Olson, and Karen Leinbach. Will have three new ones next year.

We decided this year to do a Christmas dinner at the church for everyone who wants to come. As of now it sounds like, along with those of our family around, we will have around 35+ people. Should be a good time, with plenty of food and an afternoon of games.

A week from tonight Andrea get's home. Will be good to have her here again.

We are looking forward to our New Years time together in the mountains. Some of us have mentioned all doing something special together on New Year's Day. Any ideas? Let us know so we can start checking into possibilities.
