Kara and Shane have been too busy to post or make many phone calls, so I got their permission to post this for everyone. HOW EXCITING!!!
Here is the chain of events as best I understand it: Sometime on Friday Shane got a call at work from their foster agency asking if they would be interested in a newborn boy. He said yes, not really expecting that they would be chosen for this placement. On Monday, the agency called again and told him they had been chosen and could they pick him up today. Shane called Kara, and about 20 minutes later called again, "They want us to go get him right now." So they were sneaky and didn't tell Auntie Lisa until I walked through the door and saw Mom holding this tiny baby. . . . My mouth dropped and I nearly fainted!
The mom has signed rights away and no one knows where the dad is . . . so right now the baby is a foster with the potential to adopt if no one from the biological Dad's side of the family steps forward. I think the statute of limitations is a year in CO. Anyway. As of today they named him Levi Oliver Stutzman, which of course we think is adorable! I'll post more photos when I have some good ones . . . in the meantime here's another one of the other three crazy boys.

Since Levi hasn't had a name until today, when we met him on Monday I asked Tyler, "What do you think we should name the baby?" He was very thoughtful for a moment and then, with complete sincerity said, "How about Tarzan?" How about not? Here is another a sample conversation between my two boys on the way home from church a couple weeks ago:
T: Liam, say chocolate.
L: Kok-at
T: Mom! Liam said 'chocolate!' Liam say 'Awesome.'
L: uh-THUM!
T: Mom! Liam said 'awesome!' Liam say 'Walgreens'.
L: Ahh-bees
. . . and so on--I haven't heard Liam say 'Walgreens' since then. But he does use 'uh-THUM!' appropriately.
Congratulations to you all on the arrival of Levi. Em sent us the address to this blog so we can keep up on the Birky news.
