I'm new at this too. And, Kara, I don't really do anything with facebook either. I only look at it a couple times a week when I can't think of other stuff to do on the internet. I just glance over the random status stuff and once in a while write something of my own.
Anyhoo, this feels more personal anyway. Maybe cause it's only between our fam.
Yep, I work a lot. Only two more weeks of "bobrauchenbergamerica" (that's the current play I'm doing) which is nice cause I'm ready for a break. It'll have been a full 3 months of doing play stuff every at least 4 nights a week. It's getting pretty good reviews though, as did "Mauritius" (the first show I did with them. I'm working as the lighting designer/operator. For Mauritius I was the assistant director, light designer and light/sound operator.
So all that's taken up a lot of time and valuable weekend nights, but it's been good to be involved and getting to know the crowd. And this is their last show for the summer, and they'll pick up again in August or September. By then I'll be ready to get back in, I think. And they've been throwing around some ideas with me, so they're interested in keeping me around.
Also thanks to all of you for everything for my birthday. I keep meaning to email everyone individually, but this will work. Bug, thanks for the call. I would have called you back if you hadn't told me not to. Kara the package was hilarious. Can't wait to try out the "all natural wild harvested field snails." Lisa, the cards were great. I laughed and laughed at that giraffe. And Mom & Dad, thanks for the card and $. I will probably use it to by music. Or camping stuff.
Ok. I've got to get to the play. Here's a picture, cause I can. I don't know what it is cause I haven't piked one out yet.
