Wed 4/29

Grandad was moved to CCU (critical care) last eve (Tues 28) for his lungs primarily. He is fighting fluid on them. They have given him Lasik and want to monitor him more closely, since they had put him in a room furtherest from the nurse's station. His heart was still doing fine last eve. They have been giving him insulin occasionally, when his blood sugars are high. They hope this is short term (doesn't everyone) and that he will be back on the floor in a day or two. I am fine with him getting more attention, as they seemed short staffed on the floor.

This means that only two immediate family members can see him once/hour (you all count), so feel free to go during the day, when the days get long for Grandma. I'm sure she would appreciate you there, even if you don't get to go in.

Keep praying. He's not out of the woods. I don't know yet what it means for our trip to Hesston this weekend. love, Mom
